All generators require periodic maintenance, such as oil and filter changes to ensure maximum performance for years of reliable service. Whitehart offers bi-annual service under our service contract, which covers checking over installed units and any required maintenance items such as filters, oil etc. Or call us to schedule a specific service. We currently service over 100 air-cooled and liquid-cooled generators in the Wimberley and surrounding areas.
If your unit is not connected to wifi, then it’s critical to get new firmware installed by a certified technician at least annually. We recommend network connectivity for all installed units and we’re able to install cellular antennae if your wifi network is simply too far from the generator or not on a stable connection.
If we find any problems with a generator that we are servicing, we are able to process warranty claims for new parts and labor as Generac certified service technicians for units that are still under warranty. That means no cost to you for parts, labor or travel. We have Generac certified air-cooled and liquid-cooled technicians – so we can service home and commercial systems. If your warranty has expired, we can counsel you on adding an extended warranty.
We carry Generac maintenance kits if you want to do the maintenance yourself. Generac requires scheduled maintenance at 25 run hours for new air-cooled units and then every 100 run hours. However, they recommend that you have your unit checked every 6 months by an authorized service dealer. We highly recommend using factory parts and only the highest quality full synthetic oil.
